For the following two years he alternated his small animal work with large animal practice in Co.Roscommon and Co. Antrim, before committing fully to the Animal Welfare Clinic since 1992, to specialize solely in small animals. However, he still maintains an avid interest in agricultural matters keeping suckler cows and hens as his hobbies.
His areas of interest include orthopaedic and general surgery. Outside of the practice he is a keen hill walker and windsurfer. Paul’s dog Ronnie, a black and white terrier adopted from the practice, is often to be found playing in the kennel area.
Maria has a keen interest in all aspects of companion animal medicine and also enjoys surgery. Her own pets include Mac a rescued long haired lurcher dog who often comes to work with Maria, when he’s not lounging about on the couch at home.
Ruth is currently studying for a further certificate in small animal medicine with the ‘BSAVA’ and may specialise in Feline Medicine. Ruths’ own pets include ‘Shewi’ a handsome cat homed from the practice who shares a house with Mel a gentle Labrador.
New Zealand and Dublin before joining our team in 2009. Marta’s own pets include Colombo a feisty one-eyed rescue cat and Lynx a beautiful tabby cat who remains in Spain with the Pison family.
He decided to focus on small animal practice and worked in Essex in the UK and back home in Dublin before joining us in Febuary 2014. His own pets are two rescue dogs called Anni and Pig. When not at work he is an avid hill walker and cook!
